Every customer gets their own separate database. Your records are never mixed with anyone else's, never sold, and never used for advertising.

You reach your vault through a long, unguessable web address — no account required. For extra peace of mind, add an optional email & password login and an optional PIN from your dashboard, so the link alone isn't enough to open your vault.

Every connection to your vault uses HTTPS, so data moving between you and the server is encrypted along the way.

Your vault is backed up every night. Backups exist for one purpose only — to restore your own data if something goes wrong.

Common questions

The things people ask first.

What if I lose my vault link?
No problem — it's self-service. Go to app.ownoutright.com/find, enter the email you bought (or signed up) with, and we'll email your vault link straight back to you. Better yet: set up the email & password login and you'll never depend on the link again — just sign in at app.ownoutright.com/login.
What if my link gets shared or exposed?
Because the link is your key, treat it like one — don't post it publicly. For extra protection, add an email & password login and/or an optional PIN right from your dashboard, so the link alone isn't enough to open your vault. And if you ever think a link has been exposed, email us and we'll help you move to a fresh one.
Can my team use it?
Yes. Anyone you share the link with can use the vault, so it works as a shared workspace for your business. There are no separate per-person logins today — it's deliberately simple.
Where is my data stored?
In its own isolated database on our hosting, kept separate from every other customer. It is never sold, shared, or used for advertising — see our Privacy Policy.
Is there a password, or per-user accounts?
Yes — two options, both optional. From your dashboard, click Secure My Vault to add an email & password login; after that you sign in at app.ownoutright.com/login from any device (with a self-service password reset by email), and your link keeps working as a backup. You can also lock the vault with a PIN, so anyone opening the link is asked for it first. Separate per-person staff logins aren't available yet — tell us if you need them.
