Every customer gets their own separate database. Your records are never mixed with anyone else's, never sold, and never used for advertising.

You reach your vault through a long, unguessable web address — no account to create. Keep it private like a password, and for extra peace of mind you can add an optional PIN so the link alone isn't enough to open your vault.

Every connection to your vault uses HTTPS, so data moving between you and the server is encrypted along the way.

Your vault is backed up every night. Backups exist for one purpose only — to restore your own data if something goes wrong.

Common questions

The things people ask first.

What if I lose my vault link?
No problem — it's self-service. Go to app.ownoutright.com/find, enter the email you bought (or signed up) with, and we'll email your vault link straight back to you. No waiting on support.
What if my link gets shared or exposed?
Because the link is your key, treat it like one — don't post it publicly. For extra protection you can set an optional PIN on your vault (right from your dashboard), so the link alone isn't enough to open it. And if you ever think a link has been exposed, email us and we'll help you move to a fresh one.
Can my team use it?
Yes. Anyone you share the link with can use the vault, so it works as a shared workspace for your business. There are no separate per-person logins today — it's deliberately simple.
Where is my data stored?
In its own isolated database on our hosting, kept separate from every other customer. It is never sold, shared, or used for advertising — see our Privacy Policy.
Is there a password, or per-user accounts?
Yes — an optional PIN. By default your vault link is the credential (simple, nothing to reset), but from your dashboard you can lock the vault with a PIN, so anyone opening the link is asked for it first. You can have it remember your device, and if you forget the PIN you reset it by email. Separate per-person staff logins aren't available yet — tell us if you need them.
