What we collect

When you buy a tool or start a trial, we collect your name and email address to process your payment (via Stripe) and to deliver and identify your vault. We never receive or store your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Stripe.

The business data in your vault

The records you create inside your tools — invoices, quotes, customers and contacts, products and inventory, expenses, and your business settings — are stored in an isolated database tied to your vault. This data is yours: it is not shared with any third party, not used for advertising, and not accessible to other customers.

Your vault link

You reach your vault through a unique, unguessable URL rather than a username and password. Treat this link like a key and keep it private — anyone who has it can open your vault, so don't post it publicly.

Cookies and tracking

The marketing website (ownoutright.com) does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics scripts. The vault app uses only what is necessary for the application to function.

Third-party services

We use Stripe to process payments — Stripe's privacy policy applies to information you provide at checkout — and Google Workspace to send email from support@ownoutright.com. We do not sell your data to anyone.

Backups

Your vault is backed up nightly so your records are protected against loss. Backups exist solely to restore your own data.

Export and deletion

You can export everything in your vault to standard files at any time. You may also request deletion of your vault and its data by contacting us.
